3.5 Mile Run

Who: Ali
What: 3.5 Mile Run
Where: Planet Fitness Treadmills

Back on the treadmills for the first time since… well… probably early spring. Here’s the thing about treadmills now. Man, do I get bored on treadmills.

That combined with the fact that I’m running my First Ever Official 5k this weekend made me… well… uh… okay, I did this run as a Visualize the 5k run.

(I’m not actually raising money for that 5k by the way. If you want to give anything to my cause, go here to the real thing I’m training to do. That’s a good charity too, though, perfectly fine, quite reasonable to hate cancers of the lung. I just gotta focus and that 5k is a means to an end for me and my training.)

I finished it in… 24:15. That’s a 7.48 pace. That would be the Absolute Perfect Race, I think, since this is a treadmill we are talking about. I’d be happy with sub-26’s, which would be in the 8:20 range. Still, it was nice to run and visualize the race. I’m enough of a sports psychology believer to actually buy into that.

There are no stats… after the jump. I got a foot pod for indoor running with my garmin, but I have been lazy and haven’t calibrated it yet. Yes, this makes me angry because I love those sweet, sweet numbers.
