8 Mile run
Who: Team Challenge participants. Okay, not many showed up.
What: 8 Mile Run
Where: Kelly Drive, Philadelphia
Okay, I’m lazy. Well, as lazy as one can be when one does an eight mile run then volunteers for a museum event, both on Saturday. I’m only now logging this one.
The run was in the rain, with a headwind coming back. So it was… not pleasant. But it was successful. Again, I’ve been lazy and I haven’t downloaded the stats from my watch… but I was sub 9 minute miles for 8 miles. I’ll definitely take that.
That’s the longest I’ve run so far! This week’s long run is a 6-8 mile tempo run, so it will remain so at least for this week too.

Yay, new longest distance! Do you know what you guys will max out at for distance? (Hey, didn’t I just ask Therese that same question?)

Funny you should ask that now! I just got the rest of the program earlier today. Looks like the longest distance before the race is 12 miles.
Here’s the long distance weekend runs from here on out:
6-8 Mile Tempo
9 Miles
10 Miles
10k Race (gulp)
11 Miles
12 Miles
12 Miles
8 Miles (Weekend before Race)

Two 12 miles?? Whoa, I only did one for my half.
Way to go, especially in that rain. It stunk. Still so funny that we were on the same terrain at the same time and missed each other. At least we got to catch up later that evening while we worked our tails off!
