4 Mile Run

What: 4 Mile Run

Technically it was a 5 mile run on the chart. I am altering the deal. Pray I alter it no further.

Cardio-wise, I was fine. Even my toe, which I complained about previously, was okay, though the sock was again red. (And I wish the toenail would just fall off already). My legs were just not there tonight.

Some have told me there’s a 15 minute rule on some days. Get out for 15 minutes and see if you feel like continuing. And many times you do and you will, because hey you are out there - might as well finish. I started tonight with that rule in mind. I obviously went much longer than that but I have no real regrets about cutting it off at 4.

Get your dang shoes looked at. Take ‘em to a running store and show them the wear pattern and your toes and see if they can’t get you a shoe with a wider toe box (I know you like it when I say that) that isn’t going to make your toes bleed. People like to go on about all the toenails they’ve lost while running, but it’s not generally actually necessary.

Yes yes. But AFTER the half marathon. I don’t want to change shoes a month beforehand. Isn’t that a really bad idea?
