Tweak Tweak.

Tweak tweak tweak.

Summary of changes over the last few days, in roughly reverse chronological order.

  • [Edit] Hey look... a new banner on this page and on the booklist page. Huh. How about that.

  • Major changes to the site style sheet. Colors, style elements... you name it, I probably poked at it.

  • Alteration of the recent comment code on the right sidebar to be a little... better. That code was stolen from the girlie matters and modified only slightly.

  • Removal of the links from the left sidebar, and minor rearrangement of the general layout of both sidebars.

  • A new navigation bar, which has been added to all pages, including the archive pages and Alikat's main page. Unless I missed something...

  • New page, the booklist, with a list of current, future and past reading. New information is being added to that page constantly.
That's quite a few tweaks to the cheeks in the last few days. Any feedback is definitely welcome, especially as regards to the color scheme, which I really suck at and can never get completely happy with. But I do my best.

Very pretty drop down menus. Nice changes. Re: broken links. I think the one to Babbling Brook is misdirected. Takes you to a VERY boring page. Oh wait. That is mine. Never mind.

NICE drop down menus. Love the booklist. Going now. Sorry.

I don't find your page boring at all. Your page is more focused on the actual text. Sometimes I think I've made mine too busy.

But then I remember that I like to tweak and that's part of what I want to do here, and I relax a tad. :-)

I really like the new look, especially with the logo and navbar. I, however, can't say I love you... nothing personal. ;)

The navbar has a minor issue with my main browser, but I have a feeling that has a lot more to do with the fact I'm running a development version of mozilla code then it does your navbar.

FYI, I tried to trackback to you, but it seems to fail.

If the minor issue with the navbar is that it loads at a slightly larger size than the page, then I experience it too. I'm running Mozilla as well. I actually made a minor modification so that it wouldn't reload each time you resize the page to get around it.

The trackback thing... hmmm... not sure. I trackback to my wife's webpage all the time. However, my webserver was acting strangely last night, and I had to resubmit things several times at certain points to get changes in movable type to stick. Kept getting internal server errors.

Thanks for the feedback!!

so.....where is the vidio of Hawaii? You seem to have time to play around. Priorities, my child. Mommy wants to see vidio.

No matter what, you won't see full video until you get a DVD. I took 4 hours of tape and there is no conceivable way for me to host that much video for download even if you could download it all.

So, patience. There will be a download or two soon enough, and you will be one of the ones getting a DVD.

I just realized I spelled video "vidio". Sorry, I am dyslexic. It would be nice if you had a spell check. See if you can work on that.

The navbar problem I have is the text disappears as soon as I mouse over the navbar (but the dropdowns still work fine.) I wouldn't worry about it though... running beta mozilla code (Camino version) on a mac, so probably a small audience.

As for the trackback, probably same thing. After I would ping your site, first time I would check your trackback link it would get a internal server error.

Speaking of internal server errors... I'm getting them trying to post this (so hopefully one will go through and no duplicates.)
