More City of Heroes Screenshots

When I haven't been working over the last week - and man, am I exhausted - I have been playing, off and on. My work schedule means that I have no character higher than 10. But it also means I've gotten to play with the character creator some.

Here is my most recent character, Junkboy. I was hoping he would look like his costume was assembled out of a junkyard, but I think I was only marginally successful. He can take quite a bit of damage, but doesn't dish much out, which means... he doesn't have much fear from these three.

And then, there's Spikenard. He is my scrapper - a light front line character that I'm using to help Alikat and Shubbe's new characters up to around level 10. You really don't want to make Mr. Spikenard angry. He's a bit prickly and tends to explode, especially around nazis.

And, of course, there's still Thermo. He has a few new abilities, like this one that causes fire to fall from the sky. His hover skills come in handy when scouting out villains that like to hang out on rooftops, like the Circle of Thorns. They may want to think about being that obvious... the bright green flare brings in heroes from all over.

And, of course, he has faced his share of villains who are obviously compensating for something.

Fun game so far.

When I get my 'puter fixed, I'll let go (OWWW) of DAoC and see if I can get City of Heros. But you, Shubbe and Reid are all going to be way too far ahead by the time I can tag along.

/sidekick will fix that right up. Read up on it and tell me if it doesn't just rock.

Also, read this for the end of beta report and this for the introductory promotional comic.

One other thing they are doing... they are sending you a monthly comic (by dark house) that recounts the month's events. That's pretty damn cool.

Also, we could make all new characters to play with you too! Character creation is fun!
